Contributor Information

Churchill College is a founding academic partner of the Jeffrey Rubinoff Sculpture Park, supporting its mission to explore art as a source of knowledge. In 2014, Churchill established the Jeffrey Rubinoff Junior Research Fellowship, a four-year postdoctoral position for emerging scholars whose work bridges art, philosophy, and society. Fellows contribute to the Park’s intellectual life by participating in the annual Company of Ideas Forum and engaging with artists, curators, and international scholars on Hornby Island.

Jeffrey Rubinoff Junior Research Fellows include Dr. Vid Simoniti (2017), Dr. Joshua Fitzgerald (2020), and David Collins (2024–ongoing). Their work advances Rubinoff’s vision of art as a rigorous mode of inquiry and public reflection.

Churchill’s connection to the Park is further deepened through Dr. James Fox, a Churchill-affiliated art historian and Director of the JRSP Educational Programme. He leads scholarly publications, lectures, and forums that bring Rubinoff’s ideas into global conversations.

Through fellowships, leadership, and sustained scholarly exchange, Churchill College plays a vital role in realizing the Sculpture Park’s educational and public mission.
