May 28-30, 2016 | Company of Ideas Forum
2016 Forum will discuss Cambridge art historian and BBC Broadcaster Dr. James Fox's forthcoming both The Art of Jeffrey Rubinoff, as well as the work of the Vid Simoniti, the Churchill College Cambridge Junior Research Fellow in Art as a Source of Knowledge.

May 15-17, 2015 | Company of Ideas Forum
2015 Forum will specifically examine the ways in which Jeffrey Rubinoff's sculpture relates to his writings, to Modernism and to music and photography in general.

May 24-26, 2014 | Company of Ideas Forum
In 2014 the forum provided the opportunity for a group of historians, art historians, and cultural historians working on a book on Rubinoff, to gather insights for their respective chapters. It was the first forum in the Company of Ideas series to dispense with the traditional paper presentations, in favour of a series of six dialogue questions posed by the book's editor, Cambridge University art historian and BBC broadcaster Dr. James Fox.

May 18-19, 2013 | Company of Ideas Forum
The 2013 Forum addresses the origins of organized warfare in the development of agriculture. As well it explores arguments about how concepts such as mutual aid, commonly concieved of as being cultural in origin, can be influenced by evolution and genetics.

May 18-21, 2012 | Company of Ideas Forum
The 2012 Forum addresses the topic of Art as a Source of Knowledge. The Forum will address art as a source of knowledge as demonstrated by the work and ideas of Jeffrey Rubinoff. The aim is to reinforce the perception of qualities of art beyond economic or political commodification.

May 20-23, 2011 | 2011 Yale University Forum on Art, War and Science in the 20th Century
The 2011 Forum was be held by Yale University and co-chaired by Jeffrey Rubinoff and eminent cultural historian Dr. Jay Winter from Yale University. Rubinoff and Winter both perceived a great danger that post-modernism can delegitimize the knowledge and capacity for insight central to the future of human affairs. As such the Forum addressed the need for artists, historians and scientists to identify and address the challenge of their individual moral obligation as witnesses to a shared historical narrative.

May 21-23, 2010 | Company of Ideas Forum
This Dialogue will focus elaborate the historical background of the concept of the End of the Age of Agriculture, and propose questions for a new philosophy beyond prescriptive narrative.

May 22-24, 2009 | Dialogue in the Company of Ideas
This Dialogue will focus interdisciplinary attention on the topic of the Value of Art at the End of the Age of Agriculture. Interested participants will be asked to answer a 'Call for Abstracts' in the fall of 2008.

July 26-27, 2008 | Company of Ideas Working Group
A small working session to further elaborate the theme of the 2009 Dialogue in a foundational essay.

May 2-5, 2008 Inaugural Forum
The first symposium was an inaugural forum which was held from May 2-5th, 2008. Our goal for the first symposium was to explore the work and to come up with a strategy on how to best engage an interested audience.
